Your First
Visit to FUMC Whitesboro |
|
It's never easy to walk into a place you've never
been to, and unfortunately, churches are not immune to this.
We work hard at FUMC to help you feel right at home. So, in order to help
you feel a little more comfortable before you even step foot in the door, we'd
like to answer some basic questions that you might be thinking about.
Where's
the church?
What do I wear?
When do I arrive?
What about my children?
Where do I park?

Ultimately, we want you to be comfortable, to be YOU. On a Sunday morning
with us, you could see everything from business suits or dresses to t-shirts and
shorts. There are no expectations to meet.

Q: When
do I arrive? A: Our
worship services at 8:15 and 10:30am are similar with blended music. There

after the early service or before attending Sunday School for all ages at

Q: What
about my Children? A:
Children are a blessing at FUMC! We invite and encourage you to bring your
children with you. Sunday School is available for children
pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade in the Children's Education Wing. During
Sunday School, your children will receive a fun lesson that focuses on biblical
truths and includes music, movement, and more. Children of all ages are
also welcome to stay with their parents during worship services.
Childcare is available for children younger than three years of age.
During the 10:30am service children are invited to
participate in Children's Time with one of our outstanding staff, where they
will receive a kid-friendly message. After this time; 3, 4 & 5 year olds
are invited to attend Children’s Church where they learn about worship, songs
and prayers. They are taught by
knowledgeable and loving staff. The
children are returned to their parents in the sanctuary before the end of the
service. Older children have activities they can do with activity bags located
just outside the sanctuary in the foyer connecting the sanctuary and Wesley Hall
on the north side. Each bag is filled with puzzles, coloring pages, and objects
for creative minds. For children 0-36 months, we have our quality nursery care.
We want you to feel comfortable entrusting your infants, crawlers, and toddlers
to the care of our loving first aid and CPR certified nursery staff. We
are a certified "Safe
Sanctuary” church.

on the east side of Wesley Hall. Additional off-street parking is
