As part of our Faith & Family Activities we gather for a time of fellowship to enjoy a meal together. This time will include a moment of prayer, mid-week message, and music. There is not a charge for the meal, donations will be accepted to cover the cost of the food. Please contact the church office with any questions.

The outreach of FUMC Whitesboro supports the mission goals of The United Methodist Church:

  • Make disciples of Jesus Christ
  • Strengthen, Develop, and Renew Christian Congregations and Communities
  • Alleviate Human Suffering
  • Seek Justice, Freedom and Peace

 

Missions that are supported by our congregation include :

 

Helping Hands Benevolence Fund — This ministry provides emergency aid to people in our community in need.

 

No More Malaria –The United Methodist Church has partnered with the United Nations and other global organizations to eliminate deaths from malaria by 2015.

 

UMCOR —The United Methodist Committee on Relief provides aid in disaster areas throughout the world. We support UMCOR through monetary donations and assembly of emergency kits.

 

Project Transformation — PT   provides Internsh.ps for college age youth to lead Christian summer camps for children in low income areas. We help sponsor an intern, provide meals for interns and volunteer to read with the children.

 

Summer Lunch Program — We provide lunches during the summer primarily for children that are on the free/reduced lunch program at school.

 

School Supplies — We provide school supplies for children in need,.

 

Operation Christmas Child -- This ministry provides a Christmas box of fun and useful items to impoverished children throughout the world.

 

Ministerial Alliance Holiday Baskets — We partner with the Whitesboro Ministerial Alliance to provide baskets of food to families in need in the Whitesboro area.

 

Souper Bowl of Caring — Nonperishable food is collected and given to Your Neighbor’s House, a local food pantry.

 

 Angel Tree — We adopt children or families in crisis and provide gifts of toys and clothing.
