We are happy to introduce our new pastor, Chuck Church, starting July 1st. Please pray for Chuck and his family as they begin this transition!

Chuck is a South Texas native who graduated from high school in the small border town of Mission, Texas. After initially pursuing an engineering degree at Texas A&M University in the Class of 2002, the tragic collapse of the Aggie Bonfire in 1999 became a turning point that redirected his life toward a call to ministry. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary.

Chuck has faithfully served for over 25 years in a wide range of ministry settings within the United Methodist Church, including as Director of Youth Ministries at Trinity UMC in San Antonio and Creekwood UMC in Allen, Youth Director and Associate Pastor at Wylie UMC, and Senior Pastor at both Cornerstone UMC in Garland and Lake Cities UMC in Lake Dallas. Throughout every stage of ministry, his passion has remained the same: helping individuals and congregations discover their God-given calling and purpose. Chuck believes the Church is strongest when clergy and laity serve side by side, working together to become the body of Christ that God has called them to be. He is deeply committed to equipping and empowering the laity to embrace their vital role in ministry, believing that when all God’s people live with faith, purpose, and shared mission, the church truly flourishes. Chuck has also served in various roles of disaster response throughout the conference and in the communities he has served.

He has been married to his wife, Michelle, for 22 years, and she currently works in administration at Allen ISD STEAM Center. Together they have two sons. Their oldest, Connor, is a Junior Computer Science Major at Texas A&M University. Their youngest, Hayden, will be a freshman at Allen High School, where he is a new member of the Allen Escadrille Marching Band and a First Class Scout in Troop 624.

Chuck is a devoted fan of the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Astros, and, of course, the Texas A&M Aggies. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, smoking some of the finest Texas BBQ you will ever taste, playing golf, working with his hands, reading, and gathering with family and friends for a good game of dominoes. Whether around the pit, on the golf course, or at the game table, Chuck values connection, laughter, and making lasting memories with the people around him.
